Black Book Rankings Methodology and Independence

All Black Book survey result sets and rankings are announced through press releases distributed on Newswire.com and ACCESSWIRE and are available through the Black Book Media Room.

Black Book rankings are developed independently of the vendors being evaluated. Vendors are not permitted to select respondents, submit directed client-reference lists, influence survey participation, or participate in the validation and scoring process. Black Book does not solicit or offer vendor sponsorships, paid ranking opportunities, promotional considerations, or other arrangements that could create influence, favoritism, or preferential treatment.

Rankings are based on 36 unique and proprietary qualitative key performance indicators, rather than basic satisfaction measures such as client “likes,” popularity ratings, or Net Promoter Score–type questions. The methodology evaluates 18 indicators of corporate performance and 18 indicators of product or service delivery performance.

Following respondent authentication, submission review, and panel validation, qualified scores are retained in the Black Book research database for up to 18 months for established vendors and 24 months for startup and emerging vendors. Only validated responses are included in published rankings; submissions that cannot be authenticated are excluded from all calculations.
